Hi Bob, long time no see. Could I suggest that you upload to this page, some text from today’s DomPost. A great project – the dust never sleeps where you’re concerned does it??? Hope you’re keeping well. Ex-neighbour, Ros

Whilst doing family history research I discovered that some newspapers published letters home from soldiers serving during WWI. I was trying to find out something about my great uncle David Howatson who was killed in France in 1918. He and some of his mates had written home to family in Southbridge and parts of their letters were published in the Ellesmere Guardian. It gave me an insight into the man to read his own words. Otherwise nothing personal survives of him.

Hello Pete
I have no idea whether I replied to you years ago but I have just found in my WordPress In-Box heaps of messages that I cannot find my replies to. If I did not respond I am very sorry but note his file is now digitized. Again my apologies for this huge delay.
Cheers Kiwi Bob
